Tournament Survival Kit
We asked our customers to tell us which items they always remember to bring to a Martial Arts tournament. Print out this list to make sure you have evertying you need for your next tournament event.

• Frozen bottles of water (can be used as chill packs at beginning of day, and then for drinking later in the day)
• Gatorade (many parents mentioned Gatorade in addition to water)
• Light snacks that will not spill or get the uniform dirty, such as dried fruit or granola bars. (Do not bring nuts in case there is anyone at the tournament who is allergic to nuts.)
• Lunch, if it is not provided at the tournament
• Extra money for souvenirs (such as a tournament T shirt)
• Instant ice pack (the kind you break to make it cold)
• Ibuprofen (such as Advil)
• Ace bandage (for wrapping wrist, ankles)
• Tape (for fingers or toes)
• Band-aids
• Hand wipes or hand sanitizer
• Small towel (to sit on so uniform does not get dirty, to wipe feet for smooth movements on the mat, or to wipe off sweat)
• Mouth guard
• Sparring gear or other protective gear
• Bleacher cushions (for sitting through the full day)
• Camera or camcorder (be sure to charge it or bring extra batteries)
• A CD player for musical forms (if not provided at the tournament)
• Books, a deck of cards (to pass the time while waiting)
• iPod or mp3 player to listen to so (blocks out the talk of other participants so you can concentrate on your own goals)
• A second uniform if you need one for sparring and one for kata, forms or other parts of the tournament)
• Rank belt (which may be a different color than your class belt)
• Change of clothes to change into at lunch or between sessions (keeps the uniform clean)
• Pen and paper for writing down names and phone numbers of the new friends you meet
• A positive attitude!
