Rank Color Limbo
Materials needed:
A Limbo set (two vertical poles and one horizontal pole)
Set up: Paint height markers on one of the vertical poles, using different rank belt colors. For example, paint a white marker up high on the pole (about 5 feet off the ground), a yellow marker below that, etc. Continue until you have a black marker at the lowest point (about 2 feet off the ground.)
To play: Each child takes a turn limbo’ing under the horizontal pole set at the white marker. If they knock off the horizontal pole at the white marker, they are declared an “honorary white belt” for the rest of the party, and can now go sit down.
Each remaining child takes a turn limbo’ing under the pole set at the yellow marker. If they knock off the horizontal pole at the yellow marker, they are declared an “honorary yellow belt” for the rest of the party, and can now go sit down.
Continue in this way until each child has been named an honorary belt color based on their limbo skills.
