| Here's a
fun decorating idea that also provides party favors for the guests
to take home after the party. Starting with some solid color latex
balloons, inflate each balloon with helium and use a string and a
weight to hold each balloon about 4 feet off the ground. Using
a marker, draw a menacing face on each balloon and add a Martial
Arts headband, so that each balloon looks like a Ninja. Place
these around your party room. Don't be surprised if the kids
want to punch the Ninja balloon heads! When the party is over,
each child can take home a balloon and a headband. |

Pull
together your party theme by building your party around the current
Martial Arts rank belt color of the guest-of-honor. For
example, if your child is a blue belt, try to incorporate the color
blue into your party everywhere you can. Send invitations in
blue envelopes. Inflate blue balloons and tie them with blue
ribbons. Serve blue Kool-aid or blueberry smoothies. The
great thing about this idea is you can still have a Martial
Arts theme party year after year, with a fresh color theme each year
as your child progresses through the belt ranks. |
